Jolly Time Koated Kernels

As you walk in there is a small entry level with ads from the past on the walls featuring stars such as Danny Kaye and Bob Hope! It does have a few stairs up to the store itself, however they offer a small open elevator. The place then is open, clean & neat and welcoming. I'm not sure if they offer restrooms since we did not seek them out. The cashier was knowledgeable about the different & unique flavors of the popcorn as well as being very friendly & patient with our requests to try several samples! You can try whatever flavor of popcorn you'd like. We sampled Raspberry Cheesecake which tastes nothing like cheesecake but has a very nice raspberry flavor. As someone who isn't typically a fan of raspberry, I was pleasantly surprised. Per my friend's insistence, I tried the root beer & was amazed at the intense A&W Root Beer taste, though I don't know what exactly they use to flavor it. I also tried their Double Mint Chocolate and once more, appreciated the incredible flavor. Although I am not a fan of mixing something that is typically salty with sweet, I felt these would make an excellent light flavorful end to a meal! I sampled White Cheddar & Cheddar Cheese separately. Being a lover of all things cheese flavored, I couldn't decide which I liked best so I got a small bag of what they called Double Cheddar with the two mixed together. Not a bad price at roughly four dollars plus tax. They had an original popcorn machine on display and offer many varied types of fun & popular popcorn related items for sale including buckets, bowls, bags, gift arrangments and the like. Of course, they offer several things with their logo as well. We had a wonderful experience & will be sure to stop again when next in Sioux City, Iowa!!
